With the help of the output I have found that the TYPE and DIR commands are working to return the file size after the pause and the file has been written but the set size variable I do a second time is not picking up a file size. ![]() When I did DIR from the batch file it was referencing the directory from which I am running the batch file and not the directory on the network server. I am running the script from my computer monitoring a network directory. I just use PUSHD because it seems cleaner that way. Type and DIR both work with UNC paths so not sure what your reasoning was for needing to use PUSHD. Then you do not need to use the full Network Path for any of your other commands because your working directory is that Network Path.
